Sacramento County has a Geographic Managed Care (GMC) Medi-Cal model in which the State Department of Health Care Services contracts with multiple health plans for the provision of comprehensive healthcare services through established networks of organized systems of care.  More than 420,000 Sacramento County residents receive healthcare services through the Medi-Cal Managed Care delivery system.  ​Sacramento County GMC Medi-Cal health plans include Aetna Better Health, Anthem Blue Cross, Health Net Community Solutions, Kaiser Health Plan, and Molina Healthcare.
